My first wild camp solo. People have been saying

My first wild camp solo. People have been saying I’m brave for doing it but I guess they don’t walk down a London street often. Being in the open alone was scary but once I was there I just felt there was me, nothingness and everythingness. It’s hard to live in a system that wasn’t designed with you in mind. I’m exceptionally good at fighting for my potential because unfortunately many external forces have and are constantly trying to pummel my limitations into my face. The pandemic has really reminded me of what my limitations are when you’re stripped of financial autonomy and how…quite frankly, how much worse it’s been compared to people I’ve lived with and worked with. I’m not a fan of comparing yet it’s hard not to these days. I’m learning to work within my means but I get resentful because it’s still so much less than I want for myself. Everyday I feel like I’m fighting and Covid had me scrambling about on my knees. I used to be really fierce that if people were shit to me they had to KNOW I was worth more than how they were treating me. *trauma response* “You must know what I’m worth to myself because I spent years being told I was nothing” The pandemic definitely showed the friction and stripped people down to who they really are when they’re pushed against the wall. I’m glad I haven’t become that in spite of the utter shitstorm I’ve been through. My boundaries are much stronger. I’m much more direct yet I’ve retained as much of compassionate mind as possible from therapy. The world has become tougher. No doubt about that. Everything costs more, everything is limiting to people like me and only by accepting that can I move forwards. The trick to holding on, is letting go. I know I will always land on my feet
